Meet Our TT Pathways Instructors

 
Media Jim Falletta - Earned his MFA in Screenwriting from Chapman University. He created Troy's IB SL and HL Film curriculum and YouTube Troy Productions. His film work has been screened by the Los Angeles Short Film Festival and Director's Cut TV. Jim has had feature scripts optioned multiple times and his screenplays have been recognized by the Fade-In Awards, Talentville's Hall of Fame and the Amazon Studios Notable Projects list, among others.

Andre Gonzalez – B.A. and M.A. in English from St. John's University, M.A. in Education, and Teaching Credential in English from Loyola Marymount University.  He is teaching Advanced Journalism Oracle, Troy's award-winning student newspaper, as well as Advanced Placement English courses.

Jesse Knowles - Bachelor’s in Music Education, Master's in Music Performance, Teaching Credentials and Doctorate in Education from CSUF and CTE (Career Technical Education) Teaching Credential OCDE. At Troy he has taught math, music, computer applications and film, but is currently teaching courses that he created: Media Concepts Honors, Broadcast Journalism which produces Omnia daily broadcast, and Sports Broadcasting Honors. He also serves as a technology leader on Troy's campus.

Ana Link - B.A. in English, Teaching Credential and M.A. in Secondary Education from CSUF. She has taught many levels of English including College Prep, Cambridge, IB, and Advanced Placement. She is serving Troy as English Department Chair and is the Adviser for Troy’s Yearbook, The Illium. 

Business Natalie Bouchard - Earned her B.A. in Business Management with a concentration in Entertainment & Tourism Management with a minor in Cinema & Television Arts from CSUF and was also a member of their Business Honors Program. She worked in the film industry for almost five years in both digital marketing and publicity, and had the opportunity to work on numerous movie campaigns. She has a teaching credential in both French and Business (CTE) and currently teaches French IB SL and Empowering Entrepreneurs Honors. She is also a 2012 Troy Tech Graduate!

Deborah Henniger - EdD in Organizational Leadership ABD, MBA, MA-Counseling, BS in Business Education, and CTE (Career Technical Education) Teaching Credential OCDE. Other work experience includes: Assistant to the U.S.Treasurer, Associate Dean of Academics, Human Resource Manager, Payroll Administration, Union Negotiator, Benefits Administration, Accounting and Office Administration. I presently teach Troy's business classes.

Luke Laubhan - For nearly 20 years, he worked in business management, marketing, and communications, in roles ranging from Sales and Marketing Director to Chief Marketing Officer. He has also operated his own eCommerce and consulting businesses. He has a B.A. in English, M.F.A. in English, M.Ed. (emphasis in Social-Emotional Learning), and teaching credentials in English and Business (CTE). At Troy, he teaches business classes, advises FBLA, and serves as the Cambridge Coordinator.

Computer Science Joseph Coglianese - He teaches computer science courses and has served as a Reader, Table Leader, Question Leader, and Development Committee Member for College Board's AP Computer Science exams. He is also on the CSTA board. 

Charles Hwang - B.S. in Math for Secondary School from UCR and Math Credentials from CSUF. He teaches AP Computer Science Principles. 

Kristen Preston - B.S. in Pure Mathematics from Cal Poly Pomona and Mathematics teaching credential from CSUF. She has taught math, robotics, engineering, and computer science prior to returning home to Troy where she is an alumnus of the Troy Tech Program. She currently teaches computer science here at Troy. 

Phillip Vo - Computer Science B.S. and Math Credential from CSUF. He teaches computer science as a Reader for College Board's AP Computer Science exams.

Cyber Defense David Kim - B.A. in Applied Mathematics from UC Berkeley; M.S. in Cyber Security Engineering and M.A. in Teaching with a mathematics teaching credential from USC. He is a Troy Tech graduate and teaches computer science and cyber classes. He also serves as the coach for Troy's Cyber Defense Program and as a Reader for College Board's AP Computer Science exams. 

Engineering Kent Goodman - B.S. Mechanical Engineering SDSU, M.S. Mechanical Engineering CSUF, Mathematics Teaching Credential National University and CTE (Career Technical Education) Teaching Credential OCDE. He has developed Cambridge & IB Design Technology and Mechatronics courses. He advises Troy's FIRST Robotics team. Prior to Troy he spent 5 years with Northrop Grumman's B2 Division and 7 years at TRW's Space and Technology Division in Mechanical Engineering.

Mike Reid - B.S. in Applied Mathematics with Computer Science Emphasis and Teaching Credential from Chapman University, M.S. in Computer Science from Colorado State University. He has taught most levels of math, but now focuses on AP Computer Science, Mechatronics, and Internship.  He has served as a reader for the College Board’s AP Computer Science Exam and also advises Troy's FIRST Robotics team. Mike is the Computer Science Department Chair.

Governmental Leadership Commander Lauper – was commissioned in 1993 through the NROTC, University of Wisconsin, and retired after serving twenty years as a Surface Warfare Officer, deploying to the Western Pacific, Arabian Gulf, Mediterranean, South America, and numerous places in between. He has previously taught at the college level as the Executive Officer and Associate Professor of Naval Science at the University of Minnesota and Assistant Professor of Naval Science at the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps, The Ohio State University, where he also earned his Master's Degree from the John Glenn College of Public Affairs. Commander Lauper was selected by the Dean of Admissions to serve as the United States Naval Academy Blue and Gold Officer and Area Coordinator for Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, where he conducts interviews on behalf of admissions and represents USNA at Congressional Academy Information Nights.  Commander Lauper is also a certified FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot and enjoys teaching those skills to his students.

First Sergeant Warren Barnes – Attended Palomar College. Enlisted in the Marine Corps on December 4, 1978 because he wanted to serve his country. During his time in the Corps, he was a radio technician/repairman. He was advanced to First Sergeant three years before his retirement in December of 1999.

Master Chief Eduardo David – Joined the U.S. Navy in August 1979. He served for 21 years. He was in the Personnelman rating. He was also a Navy certified Master Training specialist teaching Navy Leadership and Management and Total Quality Improvement courses. He was later designated as the school director for that school. He was also a Navy trained Career Counselor, Alcohol and Drug Program Advisor, Casual Assistance Calls Officer, Safety and Damage Control Repair Locker and Training Officer. He is a plank owner and part of the commissioning crew of HS-16 Anti-Submarine Squadron and the USS BOXER (LHD-4). At his last duty station, he was the Officer in Charge of ASW Personnel Support Detachment in San Diego and later on became a lead in Personnel Support Activity's Inspection and Training Team. He worked for Lockheed Martin as Information Management Specialist for a year after his retirement.

LT Roger Fronek – Served 6 years in Germany with 1/54 Infantry as a Chemical Warfare NCO. Attended Fullerton College and Humboldt State University studying business. Joined Navy Reserve in 1993 and trained as an Aviation Electrician on F14 Tomcat aircraft and later on H60 Helicopters. Transitioned to the intelligence field serving with various Navy units including Explosive Ordinance Disposal Group 1 and Commander Pacific Fleet in San Diego, CA. and deployed to Djibouti Africa as a Senior Intelligence analyst for a year. During time in Africa he served as the Liaison to UK Forces in the area, spending time briefing UK Intelligence agencies in London and the British Embassy in Dubai, UAE. In 2009, he commissioned through the Navy LDO program for prior enlisted personnel and retired in March 2016 after 29 years of service.  Shore assignments include Executive Officer at Assault Craft Unit 1, Division Officer at Navy Mine Warfare and Foreign Disclosure Officer at Third Fleet Headquarters in San Diego, CA. He also served as the Foreign Disclosure Officer for Africa Command located in Stuttgart, Germany. His sea assignment was aboard USS Halsey as the Intelligence Officer to a Danish Admiral in charge of Task Force 151 for Counter-piracy in the Gulf of Aden and Indian Ocean. He also spent 4 years in Afghanistan as a Senior Intelligence Analyst.
